Candice’s Maternity Session was a beautiful and playful time with Candice and her husband, Bobby, who are current clients with us. We have done a few mini sessions with their family, so we were blessed to have them return to us to capture her maternity images for their soon to be new addition. Candice and Bobby are great folks and easy to work with which made this session with them an easy task.
Candice wore a beautiful crimson maternity gown with matching flowered headband. Bobby and the boys all dressed alike in their black pants and white shirts. After taking some picture as our local zoo, the session was perfect timing for one of the last remaining sunflower field crops in our area. I happened to know the farmer’s son and we were given permission to use the field for some images. Sunflowers are a stable of our state and is also the state flower. There are times when sunflower fields are hard to find, but I was glad to have been offered the opportunity to use one locally.
With the essence of fall soon approaching, the session gave me inspiration to also capture Candice and her family near the riverbed in the Arkansas River just south of town. Although I wished we had water available for some of the images, the riverbed has been dry for a long time, however, the backdrops of the riverbed always give me more insight to the beautiful areas that we have here in western Kansas.
