Haley and Joshua had planned their wedding and were in need of some engagement images prior to their big day which will be held at sunset along the Gulf Coast in Alabama. Although there are no Gulf breezes and the scents of tropical air here in Kansas, their timing could not have been more perfect, as it was the beginning of winter wheat harvest here in Western Kansas and several fields were still full of beautiful wheat stalks.
Haley and Joshua are elementary school teachers, both of different grades, and listening to their stories were amazing. In listening to their stories, it gave me an understanding of the day to day trials and tribulations as well as the passion of being a teacher. I truly believe that teachers are one of many professions that are underrated and deserve praise. We found out about how they met as well as their future goals and aspirations.
Their personalities made this session fun, even when we were doing serious poses and facial expressions, some comical faces were made which really defined who this couple really is. Although we wish we could have captured the wedding day in Alabama, as we do offer destination wedding packages, we know that they are in good hands. After all, A Sunset Wedding on a beach? How awesome is that! We were happy to have captured their moments here since this is their home. We are quite sure they will have a lot of memories to talk about in the future as they take their vows on a sandy beach.
